Christmas at Casa de Supa

Well, Santa was very good to us this year. We both received several gifts that made us smile. :)

Supaman got a powermat wireless charging system and a receiver case for his iPod touch, a dust mask for when he does yard work, and a dock for his cell phone. He also got a Swiss army knife from his uncle, who drew his name this year for the family gift exchange. Thanks, Tom! :)

Merv got several things she had her eye on this year. Supaman got her a sewing machine, (which has already been put to good use) a new shirt, some slippers, a new dough hook for her kitchen aid mixer, and the slicing/shredding attachment for the kitchen aid mixer. Thanks, hunny! She also got a pair of fuzzy slippers and a new set of earrings from her cousin, who drew her name for the family gift exchange this year. Thanks, Seth! :)

We got some lovely gifts from our family this year, too. Supa's mom got us the Old & New Testament & Church History for LDS Families books, to go along with the Book of Mormon that Supaman got before his mission. (Thanks, mom!) Papa Bear got us tickets to go see the Dallas Mavericks play on the 28th, and we are excited to go! They also got us a couple of gift cards to some yummy restaurants so that we can go out on a couple of dates together. Gotta love the in-laws! :)

Supaman's cousin and her husband got us an ornament for our tree that was very cute. It is a ball-shaped penguin ornament that is dressed in a scarf & santa hat. VERY cute! Thanks, Lyndi & Justin! :)

Memaw & Papaw (Supa's grandparents) got us the DVD study helps that go along with D&C and Church History, since that is what we are studying this year in Institute. Thanks, Memaw & Papaw! :)

Merv's parents sent us a box full of goodies this year! Mom had made us a batch of Heath fudge and sent it, along with a few ornaments for our tree, and some of the cold weather from out East. It finally got cold around here late in the evening of the 23rd. While it did not provide a white Christmas, it did make it feel a lot more like Christmas. :)

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year special to us. We were so grateful to have family with us as we celebrated the greatest gift that was ever given to man, God's gift to each of us: His own son, Jesus Christ. We hope the New Year will bring you many opportunities to share that gift with those around you. Love to all! :)
